It’s still early and we don’t have all the facts yet but a couple of takeaways from this: 1. Maryland’s strict gun laws didn’t prevent this shooting. 2. A hero with a gun engaged the shooter and kept it from becoming another Parkland. Prayers for all the kids and families.

-
It wouldn't have become another Parkland, it was a handgun not an Ar15. However, yes thankfully there weren't more wounded or dead.
-
There’s nothing magic about an AR-15. A handgun can be just as deadly with a proficient shooter and extra magazines. The only advantage with the rifle is better accuracy and distance, neither of which come into play indoors. The big difference was a hero SRO who did his job.
-
The injuries from an AR-15 are not comparable to those of a handgun. It's bad faith to pretend they are similar.
-
Ever seen what a .44 magnum pistol with hollow points can do?
-
Please inform the drs who have to try to put these children back together. Again, have a lovely day.

So... How are the Libs going to spin this? An armed resource officer saved lives.
#DisturbedLivesMatter -
Yes he did. He is a trained police officer not a teacher.
-
So there arent teachers capable enough to be trained and save lives?
-
a trained teacher LMAO they would have to leave their classroom to go after assailant. I have a friend that trains police officers and many fail up to 3 times the tests. Look just here in STL an officer shot another officer. Please GUNS are the problem.
-
I would say your friend should stop teaching. You will have to walk me through your idiocy of thinking because i believe we are saying teachers who want to can. I mean as long as your friend didnt teach them.
-
My daughter is a teacher, she wants to educate children not shoot crazy people or anyone else. The problem is easy access to guns with no control over who gets them. More guns is not the solution.
-
So its not really the guns fault but "crazy people"? Doesnt that feel good to say?
-
It's crazy people with access to guns. If you make it harder for crazy persons to obtain them lifes are saved.

That’s the way it should be. This hero school resource officer saved many lives today.
-
He hedged a little. Not sure yet if the shooter died of self-inflicted or the resource officer. Sure that will come out in a little bit. The resource officer no doubt saved some lives either way.
