The president talked about gun violence with members of the video game industry, which generated a record $37 billion last year. Is there a link between virtual violence and the real thing? @annawerner reporting. http://cbsn.ws/2Fz7gjj pic.twitter.com/jjtKXUxkso

Yup, because the rest of the world doesn't have access to violent games, mental illness, violent movies, etc...wait, they do? Why don't they have the same issue of people dying by firearms?

We had this discussion 20 years ago. No, other countries have the same video games and they're not plagued with gun violence.

yes they lead to violence if there is no authority figure to explain right from wrong to these kids.

Then the issue seems to be a parenting issue, as in why would a parent purchase a violent video game for child? There are rating systems for a reason, or the ESRB just a front?

Not to mention a lot of the moments in the video the white house put up was you supposed to be horrified at the violence. Allies or friends getting killed or player avatars being murdered.

So instead of working towards better laws for physical weapon, we’re talking about virtual ones.

No . This has been studied again and again. @CBSNews stop pretending that this is now a legitimate question. Other countries have the same video games but not the level of gun violence seen in the US.

Lets ask the countries that spend more on video games and have no mass shootings... What's that? They have strict gun laws? Oh and universal health care.. Wow how do they do it?

They play the same games everywhere. "Violent" games are only 11% of market. Most mass shooters haven't played games. If tRump read even one study he'd know.... no correlation.

Nope. But since tRUmp thinks there is he'll make up a correlation. It has mostly to do with bullying but no one wants to talk about that bc tRUmp is a bully and he would shoot ppl if he can't get his way. He's fully admitted that.
