Nice to see a parent take responsibility and do something

Maybe that father should do some soul searching to see why he raised a bully, you think?
-
While it may not be true for all bullies, in many cases it takes one to make one.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with what this father did. It’s called
#ToughLove and for the most part, it works! I commend him on his parenting style. And his son says he loves him which means he is#Winning -
It seems the father is a bully too, and I'm not surprised. Maybe he will kill his father one day.
-
Or maybe your father is your best friend instead of your father…

Father's an asshole and bully himself. He should have made the kid to walk to school. It's rare but kids have quite literally died when coaches make them run too long or far. How would he feel if his son had collapsed. So righteous.
-
What 10 year old kid is going to collapse from a one mile run???? Not any healthy one. It's definitely not hot out.
-
If my dad had made me run a mile, I would have done it but I wouldn't thank him for it later (ever). If you're going to punish your kid, make it constructive, like making them clean out the garage, volunteer at the seniors' home...

Sometimes kids are bullies at school because they were bullied at home. Just a thought.

The kid did something wrong he needs to be punished. Sounds like you had everything handed to you.

So you wouldn't punish a bully then? Being a product of his environment doesn't justify letting him off the hook.

You know, I don't know this kid or his parents so I, or you can't make such assumptions, there are other reasons kids become bullies. Don't judge his parents based on your limited information.
