I agree it should be individualized by extensive education, but cost should not be an inhibiting factor for insulin, medications, test strips-that is were the problem lies. I am fortunate in that I have insurance that covers the high cost of insulin.

I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes 14 years ago; I have an A1C of 5.9- I requested to go on insulin after a year. I use a sliding scale dosage of insulin and test multiple times a day to ensure BG readings of 70-120. I have no signs of neuropathy; kidney or vision issues...

I wish that online like this as well as on TV that we would also start seeing more things in general but more new things pertaining to Type 1 brittle's like myself. Seems like most is always pertaining to type 2.
