If i were him i would sue EVERYONE! The state of kansas, the judge who presided over his initial case, the prosecutors, jurors, and anyone else that had a part in him going to jail.

How is this guy getting nothing from the state ? You falsely in prisoned him ? He can’t get those years back . He deserves something, anything would be better than the disrespect you are giving him and have given him .

With evidence coming in that witnesses were coerced by an angry officer, a civil suit is in order against the retired officer + State of Kansas. 23 years is a long time for a wrongful conviction. He has a great attitude, but justice should be done for him.

“He got a [raw deal],” said district attorney Mark Dupree, “but all we can do is push forward.” That level of tone deafness is difficult to even respond to. Mr. McIntye should be paid millions of dollars for the 23 years a bad officer stole from him.

That is TOTALLY UNFAIR! WHATEVER HIS OCCUPATION HE SHOULD RECEIVE COMPENSATION OR THE AMOUNT OF ANY EDUCATIONAL PURSUIT HE WAS FOLLOWING. DOLLARS WON'T REPLACE ALL THAT HE'S LOST, BUT THERE SHOULD BE COMPENSATION!!!

No shit it's not automatic you have to file a deprivation of rights suit in a federal district court, the state will not do anything as they are not bound to constitutional law until the federal govt forces them to be.

Sterling has a twin! Now, in seriousness- it hurts to know how jacked up our legal system is; especially when it involves black & brown people!

For every year you're wrongfully imprisoned, you should always receive compensation. 11 million for his years in jail or at least 500,000.

An outrage. Even Florida provides compensation for the wrongfully incarcerated.

Being wrongly convicted he should receive a full pardon. Get out there and get a good job. Then hire a great lawyer and sue, sue, sue!
