Ok I read this twice. Why would you apologize for a blow out win? Do you all apologize when the boys win? It means the other team needs to practice and come back again to beat you all next time. Don't apologize unless you all cheated.

The article in Enterprise News explained a little better. Starters were still in game late, pressing up by 60+, etc.http://www.enterprisenews.com/news/20180301/convincing-win-or-overkill----east-bridgewater-runs-up-score-93-7 …

I don’t think they need to apologize. It’s a game. They got beat. Although really badly they still got beat
-
Seriously! Set a goal to do better next time or don’t play the game.

I coached youth sports for over a decade. This is unacceptable by any circumstances.

It is unacceptable. Unacceptable for the losing coach to keep their job.

Apologize for what? They earned it. The other coach could have thrown in the towel before this humiliating defeat but subjected his team to an obvious embarrassment and false hope.

Can somebody who is more aware of how youth athletics is supposed to function please explain to me why the winning school feels the need to apologize?
-
Bad sportsmanship - starters were in game late, pressing up 65+, etc - is why she was apologizing not winning.http://www.enterprisenews.com/news/20180301/convincing-win-or-overkill----east-bridgewater-runs-up-score-93-7 …

Only in America would you have to apologize for being good at anything, maybe we can tax there points and give a bunch to the other team that works with everything else

Maybe the JV team wasn’t in the building? How are the two schools even in the same division is the better discussion.

How about sportsmanship?? Even in the NBA there are unwritten rules, such as don't launch 3's if it's a complete blow out.. and if that happens usually there's a physical altercation
