Parents’ fault. Not the dog or the owner. Service dogs are trained and everyone knows you don’t approach a service dog without owner’s permission. #CommonSense #Parentsneedtotraintheirkids #Noteveryoneelsesproblem

Dog owners fault. A commercial jet is tight quarters and the dog shouldn’t be on the flight.

You obviously have never had a serious medical condition.

First and foremost, I hope the little girl is okay. I’d just like to say, aid dogs are meant to also protect. The dog was probably just being protective of their owner while in a cramped space. Logically speculating of course but, let’s not get bent out of shape just yet.
-
Emotional support animal, not service dog. How many trained service dogs have you seen become aggressive and bite if someone approaches them?

Ya people bother service dogs but forget they are working u shldnt call them or try to pet them without permission, parents fault here letting the child run over
-
It was an emotional support animal, not a service dog. A service dog is trained to handle stress and is unlikely to become aggressive unless something extreme, like their handler being attacked, takes place. I am shocked at how ignorant people on this thread are about this

In his own defense, the dog explained to a CBS reporter, "The kid looked at me and said with a snarl, "Bite me". So I did."

Someone tell me why is it the dogs fault when this girl went over to pet it you do not allow yourself or your children to walk over and pet a service / support dog without the owner having enough time to command it to know it is safe. C'mon now people

Was she beating the dog in the head or face? Surely she was not completely innocent?
-
Or an aggressive dog brought on board with fake ESA tags who should be muzzled in public and has probably exhibited this behavior before. The ESA crap has ruined everything.

Kinda sick of people not putting their pet in a crate. Ridiculous that dogs should be biting people on planes. If you can’t be without you pet on a flight, take a bus
-
Hope you never need the services of a support animal
-
Emotional support animals are not necessary on planes. If you can’t be sure your dog won’t bite someone, DONT TAKE IT ON BOARD!
-
True support animals are needed wherever their owner deems them necessary. Should they bite? No, but they shouldn’t be approached by anyone other than their owners either. Don’t bother them while they work just like you don’t bother the pilot while he works
-
Airplane seats are too close to not get close. The space is too constricted for animals too. Allowing anything but the most necessary types will soon be implemented. Airlines have a duty to keep its passengers safe.

Maybe teach your child thay can’t approach every dog they see I’ve flown on planes that had dogs on them, a little common since is needed.
-
Maybe not subject a poor animal to unknown places and people.
-
Oh wait people with animals should not travel because some parent could not keep their kid in place.
