        Stable enough to not be hospitalized because he was already receiving mental health services.

        In light what's happened, to see if they could have done anything different, as I said it's hardly a normal thing to do despite whether he's getting help or not.

        Obviously, things were missed. Like the FBI tip. But in this particular instance, I think they made they right call. You only hospitalize if you can prove he's a serious threat to himself or others. All they were looking at was some cutting, which I'm guessing was not severe.

        It's not "normal", but when you work in mental health you see it a lot. In both teen and adults. I worked with adults and dealt with it often.

        So, it's our child state departments, a.k.a, the part of the government that's supposed to look out for the well-being of a child, that's failing our children now? None of this is acceptable. The parents need to bring up lawsuits; though it'll NEVER replace their children 😓

        He was already in therapy. They just decided to not hospitalize him because he was already getting mental health counseling. I don't think that was a failure. Had he NOT already been in counseling then I would definitely say they had dropped the ball.
