ugh this is so disturbing. just let people stand if they want to stand and sit if they want to sit it out. all this 'you must be patriotic!' is so perverted.

It was completely stupid and wrong of her to touch that child, everyone has the right to either stand or not, some people don't do it for religious reasons and that's OKAY. Fuck that teacher and anyone who agrees with her actions.

Good, perhaps she can read the goddamn Constitution in her down time and stop trying to implement Fascism in her classroom

Many parents today neglect their children. They're either on pills, still think they're in college, stick electronics in their kids' hands to babysit, feed them horrible processed food. They don't teach manners... But, THIS is child abuse!?

-
Child abuse maybe not but it’s definitely assault according to the law no different than if you were in McDonalds eating bad food and a man picks you up by your collar takes you outside and says stop eating this it’s bad for you I’m guessing that would not be ok ?
-
I don't agree with her tactics, nor do I condone them. I am merely pointing out the fact that parents today do far worse harm to their own children. I watch it every day and it truly saddens me as an educator. These kids don't have a chance.

So you are just here to vent about your job?
-
Nope. Just here to aim high. I love my job, thank you for your interest in my feelings.

When I went to school I remember a boy who didnt stand since it was against his beliefs (one nation under God). It wasn't a big deal then.
-
I also remember students who didn’t stand and pledge to the flag for religious or other reasons. Was never a problem unless they were being disruptive

Excuse me but The Constitution clearly states There is separation between church & state And the Pledge of Allegiance is not a religion Nor is it mandatory Below are the Official Rules For The Recognition of & Care of Our Flag Teach that in school rightpic.twitter.com/GbVjjb6a7w

It’s time for her to go. It’s a matter of tradition and respect. This is no longer the U.S. she’s accustomed to. Now, parents don’t teach their kids ANYTHING about respect or traditions, they send their kids to school thinking it’s day care and not for an education.
-
Kids should be taught at home, as well as in school, about what the pledge means and the traditions it holds. It’s about being loyal to your country, as a whole, and not about the politics any agenda can smokescreen as “patriotic”. It’s a privilege to live here. Not a right.
-
Folks want to come here to earn money, get an education and live, but do NOT want to adapt. Too many bleeding heart liberals complaining about rights, but shun accountability for actions. The flag stands for freedoms others have fought for...in order to provide those freedoms.
-
Do you have any idea what freedom actually is?

Stripping citizenship for anti-Americanism is anti-American.
