A blanket statement like "no snacks after dinner" is an assumption that all snacks can do more harm than good. Some snacks after dinner can be beneficial, like high protein, low carb seeds and nuts--unsweetened and low or no salt.

Weight loss is not the same as fat loss . Health goals should start with losing / reducing body fat . You can lose body fat , but still gain weight .
