Big pharma has donated $468k to congresshttps://anchor.fm/the-unpopular-populist/episodes/1589354 …

I think that’s peanuts, Left. Think about the hidden bribes aka “donations” and insider deals. This is how, after a few years in Congress, obscure and ineffectual Republican law makers mysteriously become millionaires.
-
And then go to work for their biggest donors when they leave office. There needs to be some regulation of this, the corporate lobbies/government are a very incestuous community
-
So true, Lost! Maybe outgoing politicians should be compelled to sign some sort of "non-compete" agreement. Yeah, that'll happen...

The headline is misleading. First of all, there are certain indications for this medication. This medication has a lot of limitations. Lastly, these news confirm that US healthcare system is broken, and drug companies are bunch of criminals
-
Agreed. Tamiflu does have a lot of limitations. In fact, one of the limitations is the fact that it is not nearly as effective as many people believe. They believe it is so effective for one reason, and one reason only: misleading pharmaceutical research.

Why not say "second grade teacher dies from flu after drug company deems to charge over a hundred dollars for flu remedy"

"Deeming?" You know that if you don't have the money they don't just give it to you right?

Nice choice of wording to place the blame on a dead woman, CBS. Very well done.
-
The caption is pretty fitting considering her husband said she didn't buy it out of principle. She was a cheap person.
-
You're right. This is how her husband wanted the mass media to portray and honor the memory of his dead wife, because she was clearly "asking for it". That is the story to be told here & the lesson we can all take away. Otherwise the headlines might point to shitty drug companies
-
"Hey, everybody... look at what my dumb dead wife did! Can you believe she was raising two kids AND teaching a bunch of second graders?! Man, I sure hope she's remembered for being really dumb and cheap or her highly-publicized death will amount to nothing special"
-
She had the money for it. You said she was asking for it, not me. All I said was the caption was fitting. You take things too far. Am gonna recommend you see a therapist. Things don't seem ok at home.
-
Pursue an education. The world needs people who have the will and tenacity to think past the tissue thin layer or bullshit covering our info feeds. You are truly comfortable blaming this woman and looking for her faults because you've been well-trained to do it, which is sad.
