Looks like the rail in Germany. Maybe they should take a closer look at our systems?

The posts are too high. The endings aren't that sudden. In Germany they're like this: …http://www.guetegemeinschaft-stahlschutzplanken.de

In UK the flat ends are on slotted sections so they adsorb so energy as they slide. These too fixed

You know DIN, right? Germany is very specific in details... Have a look, it's fascinating …http://www.guetegemeinschaft-stahlschutzplanken.de/Prospekt%20RAL-Systeme%20N2,H1,L1%202017.pdf … And it works good. No system is perfect but it's working for years now and it's constantly in development

UK is same or very close. In this DIN sheet the ends at Absenkung, which UK has abandoned as it can launch upwards the car if it hits at certain angle

Come on, the kids need fun too... Well, ok, that's sarcastic

The person was in fact wrecking their car. Maybe they die if no rail is there, maybe not. 13 people is miniscule compared to the traffic volume where the XLITE end terminal is used. It's a tragedy that people die, but wrecking your car is never supposed to be safe.

One style of guardrail was deemed dangerous . Most stopped using it . Don’t install dangerous railings .

Looks more like a stop rail that slices and dices people in vehicles that ram it.

You drive where you look. Put new stuff on the road, and watch the cars pile up. It will stop eventually, but until then, carnage.
