"They pushed it over the edge": For many, a Dodge Ram truck ad that used a speech by Martin Luther King, Jr. was a misfire http://cbsn.ws/2nAuzPx pic.twitter.com/WAEG2rndvi

I think Dr King would have liked knowing his words reached the sheer number of people a SuperBowl ad does.

It was silliness to attach the message to a car, but my son looked at me with these great compassionate eyes, and I just said "those were great words, weren't they?". He just nodded..I knew what he was feeling.

More than a misfire. Reprehensible. Good way to keep me convinced that Dodge isn't getting my hard earned pennies.

Why is this any worse than Budweiser using disaster to sell beer?? Or does everyone think they were just selling water?

For a news agency, your fact checkers suck. It is not a Dodge Ram. It is a Ram. It is its own business, its own brand. It has been since 2009/2010.

Nobody pitched a fit when a super bowl commercial used a Paul Harvey dialogue to sell a product, the only reason to start a backlash using a MLK speech is to fuel the ugly flames of racism. Stop the hate. The @Dodge spot was great.
