And the FDA keeps making more rules thinking this will somehow solve the problem. All this will do is make it harder for those that really need the anti-diarrhea medication while the addiction problem just gets worse.

This is NOT new, my husband nearly died from this very thing just a few short years ago. 3-4 yrs of health thank goodness, since then. At the time I had him transported to the ER, he was unconscious, and remained so for over 24 hours. Very scary. Don't do this people!
-
I'm guessing it wasn't even opioid overdose and qt prolongation?
-
4. It was classic overdose. He took something like 40+ of those pills the night before. He was lucky I didn't go where I had planned in the morning, if I had, he would have likely died. He was very close when I woke up (Saturday, sleep in day).
-
Wow I knew people could overdose I'm just surprised 80 mg did it... I hope you're growing beautiful poppies. Lauren's Grapes are supposed to be super medical and the izmir poppies organical botanicals has are supposed to be really fast growers. If only I had the space....
-
He had other meds he restarted that night, one of note was he started taking Neurontin again, he took his whole days dose at one time. I have NO idea why he did something like that, I try hard to keep him doing meds right. Big job! Thank you Max! :D
-
Was he taking any of the common benzodiazapine anxiety meds like Xanax, Ativan, or klonopin? Or drinking? That would do it especially. The neurotin I don't think leads to that and my browsing actually says it might work against it, I don't really know, but just think it's unreltd
-
Actually, yes, he does take klonopin has for many years for PTSD from his Navy service - it was just a perfect storm with his meds, and then the bright idea he had to do that. I completely forgot to add that, I thought I had initially. You are right on the money.
-
Yea it's likely the combo let to such a pronounced effect... I'm not edumacated though so don't take my word for it. Most doctors don't know much more about the medications they prescribe over the information insert that comes with your medications

This is - no pun intended - the shit people resort to when rehab and addiction treatment is so expensive that no one can afford it. Addiction is a chronic disease that requires a lifetime of treatment. In our catastrophically expensive healthcare system, people can't get it.
