There's a FIVE step TWO key-turn process required to send this message: it's a blatant LIE that ONE EMPLOYEE "accidentally" sent this. Also, NBC LIED about have a reporting crew doing an emergency response special in a Hawaiian bunker HOURS before the message. WTF?!
-
I never heard of NBC reporting fake news until this incident. I read a column about their NBC Left Field assignment on emergency nuclear response. But I feel they were there fir other reasons!

Why fire the employee if there were no controls in place and he believed an attack was imminent?

Why are you phrasing it as a Hawaii worker... As in one person? It takes 2 people to send that alert. Let's get the news accurate and I understand you are an American news media with a lot of false news.. But enough is enough don't you think?

He played a practical joke. Now he is caught so he has to say he thought there was an attack. Now he needs to explain why he thought that
