Prosecutors in Benton, Kentucky, confirm they want to charge a 15-year-old alleged school shooter as an adult. He's accused of killing two fellow students, Preston Ryan Cope and Bailey Nicole Holt. @adrianasdiaz reports http://cbsn.ws/2n8L5FY pic.twitter.com/8pb5FuXwAj

The spin machine is going to work with same old rhetoric. I guess if Sandy Hook didn't bother them this certainly won't.

Do you think the dead kid's parents now understand what gun control advocates are trying to do? It's Kentucky so, nah.

Trying a 15 yo as an adult. Still many unanswered questions. Where did he get his firearm. A 15 yo cannot legaly buy a firearm. Being 15 yo is considered an adult. Then 15 yo can vote. Not go to school.

I hope that if he had access to a gun due to a careless parent or other family member that they’re also facing charges.

Well actually I never hear anyone being held responsible as the source of the weapon(s) used in any of these attacks regardless of the location.

If only every student and teacher at that school had guns, guns, and more guns this never would have happened! (NRA’s official position)

Blame implies the act has already occurred. At what point does American society do something to try to actually PREVENT these children from getting killed?

Why do you think the US is the only country in the world where parents raise murderers with no regard for human life in such large numbers? What makes us so different from other countries?

You said, “how about parenting your kids so they aren’t murders (sic) with no regard for human life.” Maybe I misunderstood. What did you mean by that?

I didn’t say that you said US is the only country with parenting issues. I was asking (and I will re-phrase), do you think poor parenting in the US leads to so many more school shootings here as compared to other countries?
