Judge rambling on too much will open door for appeals ! Show boat on tv cameras only destroys the judicial system !
Kind of agree, stony disapproval has more force. This guy is awful, too obviously do.
I don't know, I think the victims probably appreciate it. Especially considering how long they were ignored by people in power.
I guess there is that, but I fear appeals after the public outrage moves on, some Trump appointed conservative blogger type Judge quietly overturning the sentence as cruel or something. It can happen.http://www.abajournal.com/news/article/judge_informs_jurors_that_god_told_him_accused_sex_trafficker_isnt_guilty …
I’m glad justice is being served in regards to Larry Nassar, but what about the people who were complicit in his actions? The people who helped cover his actions for 20 years and the people who turned a blind eye to his atrocities are just as guilty. Will justice be served there?
He looks like he don't even care and was expecting it
Oh, he'll care once the prisoners get a hold of him.
Bets he won’t be in general pop 100-0
Idk man he might be. Theres some guys that go that change their name and/or names aren't in the public system to protect them. I tried and find someone that was a cop that was locked up for similar charges and I knew where he was and nowhere to be found in the NCDPS system.
Larry Nassar, the DEMON, must speak now, take all the people who enabled him with him! Tell the world who are the officials at MSU and USA Gymnastics who worked in connivance with him. thats the only way to repay the young girls he manipulated!!!
Is it me or am i baffled when it come to some of the sentencing handed down by Judges based on the nature of the crime.Sexual assault is terrible and should be punished but my God,many people that murder, usually get off lightly with a slap on the wrist or at worst 50 - 100 years.
If it was just one person yes, but he sexually assaulted about 160 girls so......
Wow i never followed the case that much to learn of the number of victims. But you still have to factor into the equation if he use force or not with any of the victims.
Judge Aquilina is a very excellent human being. Could we put her in charge of everything please?
I agree with the sentence, I just wish the judge wouldn't say things like this. I feel it's a clear base for appeal.
How so?
Showing clear bias and potential ulterior motive in the sentencing. I hope there is legal precedent for the sentence.
While I see your point, my thought is given the enormous attention that this case garnered, the judge would probably be VERY cautious to not do ANYTHING to create a reversible error. To put these victims through that would be unconscionable.
