Asked if he wants more people from Norway, President Trump said he wants people to come from "everywhere" http://cbsn.ws/2rcRi8C pic.twitter.com/hx7zXc2lI7

Yep. Everyone from everywhere as long as they are qualified and capable and won’t live off welfare. What is racist in that? #Trump2020

Donald said that he wanted people from group “x” and not group “y”. The groups he mentioned were nationality based. That is the exact opposite of “merit based”.

The context of the “s-hole” comment is that we wanted people from countries that were educated and could contribute to America, LIKE Norway, not Norway and Norway only; further evidence is the comment he made here

You are trying too hard. It wasn’t about education.

Maybe not “education”, but whatever Trump wants it to be to be qualified for a merit based system. It’s in the name - merit.

Any thinking person would say, we want people with these qualifications or we want people with specific necessary skills. Trump listed specific countries describing the ones he didn’t want people from as “Shitholes.” The basis was nationality. Don’t be obtuse.

Surprised to see this from a top FAKE NEWS source. @realDonaldTrump is against ILLEGAL immigrants, not people from around the world who come to the U.S. legally.

I don't know why so many people are having such a hard time understanding what the president actually means when he says something unless it's because libelous news is purposely confusing everyone on purpose nawwww
