Nearly 700,000 immigrants are protected by DACA, and many of them are training for high-level professional careers. @AdrianaSDiaz is at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago where a group of future doctors is watching the DACA debate very nervously. http://cbsn.ws/2qGW4L2 pic.twitter.com/4kTxB5IYny

If they have the intelligence to become medical doctors, why haven’t they made an effort to become documented?

Worked at Loyola, those future doctors neglect their patients from their on call rooms watching TV, posting on FB, Loyola is the place where I saw the most of medical mistakes of my entire carrier. Now they offer same day appointment for second opinion, what a phrase!

There are 800,000 DACA kids (aka illegals, foreigners or fake Americans). We spent $131,040,000,000 on their education that they were supposed to pay. Foreigners must pay school. That's 800,000 kids x $12,600 annual education costs x 13 years education = $131,040,000,000. #MAGA

If we're going to play this stupid game, then let's step into the weeds and sort them out. How are given special benefits? Are these Loyola students in school thanks to the affirmative action programs? And really... be doctors in your home country where they need you.

Migration Policy Institute - "5% hold a bachelors degree or higher. In the aggregate, the educational attainment of those eligible to apply for DACA lagged that of counterparts in the overall U.S. population" 33% of Americans, on average, have a Bachelors degree - Census Bureau

According to that same study: 31% still in high school, 20% currently in college. And of the age group that DACA recipients are in (15-32) only 18% of Americans have completed a bachelors degree. Don’t cherrypick your stats.

Average age of DACA recipients is about 25, which means their graduation rates should roughly correspond to the general population. 25-34, the rate is 36%, which means they would have to increase their graduation RATE 31% in total to reach average. Think that will happen?

What? That is a deeply flawed understanding of how statistics works. But let’s be honest, your opposition to DACA has nothing to do with graduation rates so let’s cut the BS.

Yes, let's. Let's also stop this portrayal of DACA recipients as all destined to be Mayo Clinic neurosurgeons. Let's deal in reality. If we want to consider a merit based system, I think most people would accept that. But stop with the articles painting an unrealistic portrait.
