I don't think they knew the full extent of the political blow-back because they are scientists. But I know them both and know that all the vindication of their work does not sooth their concern for our planet.

pretty sad. tell them how thankful german activists are for their work and that it helped us a lot next time you meet. but what am i even talking. look at our new gov, not even able to meet the 2020 climate goals. its really hard to say something hopeful.
