And we complain about snowfall. “We got 4” of snow in an hour!!!” “That’s nothing. I got hit by 4 cold-stunned iguana, falling out of trees.”

Poor iguanas. The one on his back frozen looks so sad
-
Sometimes you can warm them back up. Like it never even happened.
-
Yes lot of times u can slowly warm them back up &they are fine. Same with other large lizards & snakes here, I live in the Everglades ppl have stumbled upon small alligators they thought were dead but just 2 cold 2really move But this isn’t new it’s been happening last few years.
-
I am a reptile rehabber. On the Gulf Coast it doesn’t happen a lot but it occasionally does. People make the mistake of warming them too quickly and that has poor outcomes.
-
Good to know this
-
You can just pop them in the microwave. Just use the "defrost" setting.

Seeing this first hand in my complex in Florida. Groups of healthy ones lay on top of the frozen iguanas to warm them up. Nature is amazing
-
A truly bipartisan effort! Love that!
