Outdated power grid dating back to the 50's/60's, Gov run monopoly, corruption, refusal to change towards green energy, cat 5 hurricane, lack of a coherent and logistic plans to restore the grid, I could give you a whole list of reasons why half of my people are without power.

So, what percentage of people do you think had power before? I feel like maybe this one was not all our fault.
-
According to
@AEEONLINE , the day before Maria hit us, 98 percent of the Island had power after Hurricane Irma. Our local government lacked a coherent plan for the restoring of the grid. Too much time wasted -
Sorry to grill you, but how do you feel about the Mayor of San Juan?
-
She's done some good stuff early on, but after the hurricane she just wants media exposure. She's a leftist version of Trump. Treats her police force and her employees like crap, and keeps wasting time on media tours instead of picking up the trash and the debris.
-
Ah, ha. So the image and criticisms of her were not so unfair. I thought there was something off about her.
-
She met Trump when he came to Puerto Rico and was a lot nicer to him, so all the fight and defense on Twitter was to bring attention to her person into the media and her New York pals like Melissa Mark-Viverito

It's really sad when a U.S. territory can't get the basics restored, like any other part of the U.S.

I'm getting tired of reading/hearing about this. And I say that in the vein that these poor people have been completely left to suffer. This is disgusting.

Why doesn't Trump stop playing golf and get the electricity issue in Puerto Rico sorted. Why are they being treated so poorly by the US government

Of course, liberals will ignore all the reasons I gave in my previous reply and use the plight of my island to play politics, blame Trump, to gain political advantage in Mid-term elections. But hey, I'm just a guy who was born and raised in Puerto Rico and lived the hurricane.

This isn't as simple as fixing a few downed power lines. It takes time to rebuild an entire power grid.

Shhhhhh don’t mess with their agenda.
