They've got 280 characters now, they can put it in the tweet.

It's like when the US boasts that it has the largest number of Nobel Laureates, but omits the fact that a good number of them are 1G or 2G immigrants -- that number being 39% since 2000 --https://www.forbes.com/sites/stuartanderson/2017/10/08/immigrants-keep-winning-nobel-prizes/#7ce18e21117b …

Say her NAME.
-
Tweet unavailable
-
Could easily have said it in the tweet too, there's plenty of room.
-
or you could read the article
-
The point is many people won’t read the full article, just this snippet. Putting her name in the tweet fits and properly credits her (Gitanjali Rao) for her invention. It’s a very simple and important thing
-
true nut people should take time to read the article or watch the video. watched it , it gave me hope for the future. very bright kid and a tweet title credit doesn't do her justice
-
I get your playing devils advocate Jason and we should read the article but you lose this battle
-
Same discussion has come up on many articles where the title or tweet are hooks/don’t give details. Shows how the way most of us consume media might add to issues (fake news) Ignorance and laziness make it easier for bigots to consume trump BS etc. I agree her name is important

To everyone complaining about her name not being in the tweet - please chill out. She’s a minor. It’s standard practice to not tweet the name of minors in journalism.
-
Bullshit. They write the name in the article. No such thing as this “standard practice” for tweeting.
-
...from the guy who clearly has a strong opinion and needs a hug.

Got plenty on xmas but thanks for ur concern

You know what's interesting? This dead-end thread keeps getting likes, but nobody seems to read all the way to the point where we get along. It's almost like the
@Twitter ranking algo isn't configured to reward longer discussions. Or (more likely) it just can't.pic.twitter.com/32KjxLx2xW

haha! i was thinking the same. Like "guys, this has a happy ending. Just get to the bottom" Esp since i did review the CBS handle for news w "teen" in it, and the only ones w names were those of missing teens.
-
Hey, at the end of the day, it's another interesting look into how Twitter works - which is really why I'm here in the first place. ;-) Lotta anger out there - too many people willing to pick a side and stop reading the book in the middle. lol
