Does it show the bloody crusades, the witch burnings, the horrible mistreatment of American natives?

Didn’t they get busted for inappropriate acquisitions of artifacts?

It's controversial because some of the items for the museum was purchased from looters. Sorry, but because the items "were going to a good place" doesn't excuse buying stolen items.
-
You could say the same for every museum in the world & the rich hoarders of artifacts! An the ‘tomb raiders” who profit & the Governments who look the other way with crossed palms! It happens...until it doesn’t anymore! No one is stopping it
-
Doesn't make it right.. Thou shalt not steal. The professed Christians appear to follow the Ten Commandments only when it's convenient. They knew it was wrong. They had artifacts shipped to some of their stores mislabeled to hide what they had procured illegally.

Nice way to throw away a huge amount of money. But God and Jesus clearly stated monuments and Churchs are the best way to represent they word and will, charity, not so much. Ah, do not forget this is an amazing target for IS.

Why is it controversial?
-
Some artifacts meant for the museum were illegally smuggled and Hobby Lobby may have been funding ISIS to do it.
-
Load of crap.
-
Yes, I am sure Hobby Lobby forfeited 5,500 artifacts and consented to a $3 million dollar fine because it did nothing wrong.
-
If you are a nonbeliever, why does it bother you so much?
-
I'm not a nonbeliever and the museum doesn't bother me. I was just responding to a question.
-
You didn’t just answer, you took a swipe, don’t be a weasel, man up to the way you feel
