Can someone explain why this keeps happening? We automate every useless thing- why can't we control train speeds around curves??

How many people are going to die or be seriously injured before we get serious about fixing our aging infrastructure and doing it right. There is technology that would have slowed this train had it been in place. Oh wait, after stupid tax plan no money for such things.

According to NTSB, the conductor drove the train
@80 MPH at 30 MPH track, therefore it is a human error. It is nothing to do with infrastructures.
