MORE: For roughly 40% of voters, these allegations were an important factor in their vote today, exit polls find. More than 6 in 10 Jones supporters say they were an important factor, but about 4 out of 5 Moore backers they were not important.http://cbsn.ws/2BXGL1p

MORE: Early exit polling shows Jones voters are more strongly behind their candidate than Moore voters. Eight in 10 Jones voters say they strongly favor him, compared to just over half of Moore backers who say that about him.http://cbsn.ws/2AOtzNb

Delusion is a hell of a drug. I wonder if the 4 in 10 would feel differently if they had to leave their young daughter alone in Moore's company.

“Just under half think they’re true, while more than four in ten think they’re false.” That feels like a contradictory statement

Even sans the allegations, Moore is a terrible choice. Look to his miserable record - twice removed from the Alabama Court. His statements are those of a plantation overseer; his hatred of LGBT borders on psychotic.

Isn't 4 out of 10 also just under half? I never was very good at math...

That is a very convoluted way of saying more people in AL believe the accusations than don't.

6 in 10 would technically be more than 4 in 10. This is written horribly. Incidentally "just under half" is also more than 4 in 10, so basically this is a lot of gibberish.

Think of it as saying "just under 50%" and "more than 40%". Could be that "just under half" is 49%, or that "more than 4 in 10" is the other 51%. On the other end of the range is "more than" meaning 41% and "just under" meaning anything under 50%, leaving up to 59% undecided.
