WHY DIDN'T ANYONE DO ANYTHING TO HELP
Soul crushing watching an animal suffer rather than help it die w/out suffering to fuel fake story of climate change, the soul crushing done by photographers
Instead of watching, do something. Feed it even
These bears could be relocated.
At the very least
What selfishness has done to our world.

There is still time to turn it around.
I wish I could believe that, but between overpopulation and megalomaniac billionaires lining their covers at any expense I fear mankind is in its final stretch of civility. What we have now is probably as good as it'll ever get before our chickens come home to "roast"
This magnificent creature will soon be lost to us all just because of greed
Yes, it was one single geriatric bear at the end of its life. This is what happens to old bears just before they die. This bear was portrayed, however, as typical for that local population, which it is NOT.
The bear was clearly starving and suffering from severe muscle atrophy. That is not just what happens when a polar bear dies.
Yes it is. Often they develop dental problems or bone cancer.
It is impossible to say what caused the bear’s emaciation, but it clearly is what a starving bear would look like, regardless of the cause.
And there are no other starving bears in that local population. But it was portrayed as typical. Overall, arctic polar bear populations are stable to increasing. Only one region shows any decline in population and that might be due to migration.
I never argued that point. My point was simple: You commented that this is "what happens to old bears just before they die." I countered the bear is clearly starving, which in most cases you would think would be "atypical" for any animal.
This is typical of a geriatric bear. The other members of the local area are not emaciated. There is nothing wrong with the general food supply there. The bear is sick and should have been put down and a necropsy done to find out why.
The bear was used as an icon, though, to mislead people into thinking that this was somehow the status of bears in general and it's their fault. In other words, the bear was used to lie to and manipulate people.
Dies completely because of ... old age? nature? Nope. Wouldn’t have ever happened without AlGoreClimateChangeFormerlyKnownAsGlobalWarming™. Animals would live forever. Never die. This is a first. Send $ to http://AlGoresPersonalJet.com
