Commanders have incentive to cover up, and distort the truth b/c it could negatively impact their career progression, screening for higher command, and ultimately their retirement. THIS IS WHY WE MUST SUPPORT .@SenGillibrand's Military Justice Improvement Act.

Having been in the AF, we were all told what procedures are in place to report such incidents... just follow your chain of command all the way up to the IG. ( and higher)
-
That doesn’t work. Especially when the IG and SECAF are all classmates of the Superintendent of USAFA
-
I can only relate to MY Air Force experience..Everything was presented to you in a fair unbiased way according to policy. We were taught to always use the chain of command & I seriously doubt every higher up is corrupt.
-
You obviously never went to the Air Force Academy. They have had these Systemic issues since the first rape scandal in 2003, and promotion requirements for 0-4 where commanders put their careers before their Cadets
-
If you can't prove these allegations, then shut the fuck up... innocent until proven guilty... seems these women are coming out of the woodwork after 40 years which is asinine. The Dems are working OT with these witch hunts.
-
I can prove everything; I’m not a Dem. do you have any idea how much red tape is involved in filing a federal lawsuit against a federal institution never mind a 3 star?! Ha!
-
If you can prove it in a court of law, be my guest. I don't doubt these things exist but to go back 40 years is insane. I could have killed her back then & be a free man today. I think this sexual thing is being used as a tool wo merit.

This is from 7 years ago; not 40

This is a rampant societal issue and deeply rooted in all branches of the military. Time for all to come clean. That starts with the commander in chief.

The military should have a Zero Tolerance policy for this behavior!
