Only for the Civil Rights violation, in exchange for the State dropping murder charges.

About damned time a police officer is held accountable.

I’ll defend Police Officers all day when it’s even slightly questionable cuz
#safetyfirst and#putyourhandsup but there was really nothing this guy could say in his defense and I don’t even need a court transcript to solidify it for me.#badshoot -
Seems like a strange definition of safety first.
-
You have my context wrong. Re-read.
-
No I don't. Saying that if in doubt shoot is not safety it is a guarantee a person will be shot and as we have seen the doubt gets broader all the time and more people get shot
-
Speaking for myself I will always defend the officer until otherwise proven/obvious they were wrong. We have more shootings because more are defying orders & just more guns so shoot if safety issue. Every time. Statistically, most shoots are justified in court. This one wasn’t.

That’s a good start. It’s time to start holding too fast to shoot trigger happy officers accountable for their brutality. The bad ones should also be held accountable for perjury while testilying on the stand in court & lying on their police reports!!
-
And maybe, just maybe, citizens should learn how to behave when stopped, pulled over or questioned by police. Be responsible for their own safety.
-
There's still no justification for shooting anyone in the back for running after a traffic stop and I've been in Law enforcement for 29 years period!
-
I agree whole heartedly. But in your best judgement, do you think this man would still be alive if he hadn't run?
-
Who knows. Maybe he would have still shot him and said he was reaching for something...

-
Excuse me, the adults were talking.
