Please don't celebrate someone that kills for sport. He killed so he can have a bear that was once living a life as it was intended to be lived. to now stand in the corner of a freaking man cave with a trucker hat on and a Bud in its hand. #SENSELESSDEATH

Why? Is he going to eat the bear?

No, just overcompensating for other "shortcomings" would be my guess.

It's the little ones that always have something to hide.

Do all of you live in cities, travel only on paved roads? In Michigan, bears have made a tremendous resurgence, and are becoming a hazard on the roads, as well, as in populated areas.
-
Or is it really people have moved into the bears habitat? More likely
-
Sure. Moved into the habitat in 1860 or so when our area was settled. I grew up here (and I am old). Bears were uncommon in our area in the 1960s through the 1990s. Bears re-occupying this area is recent.
-
Well your lucky to have such beautiful wildlife around then
-
True. I live in the woods. I can hear owls most nights.
-
So can I, I live in the country. But I don't kill the animals in my woods! Cohabitation!
-
I do not personally hunt. Hunting is a big part of the "culture," here, especially deer. The deer that eat my lawn are lucky critters.

When I read the headline I figured the bear had been menacing the man's home and it was self-defense. I just don't get why killing animals is "fun."

I thought the same thing

"It's unclear which dog discharged the shot".

I'm sure they worked together on this one.

Its hunting season. He didnt do anything illegal. Read the article before you get all wound up.
-
Illegal or legal makes no difference. This is ethically and morally wrong. A crime against nature by an ignorant morons
-
did you read the article? he gave the meat to a family who would EAT it
-
And so what? I bet the family wouldn’t have starved to death if he hadn’t murdered the bear that was minding its own business being a bear. What a prick of a thing to do. So tough with a gun
-
Children being attacked on their way to school by bears and mountain lions that come down from their habitats looking for a food source? We cant have that now can we?
-
Oh my god. People have taken over their habitat. Where do you suggest they go? Are humans the only species allowed to live here? I would love to see a mountain lion or a bear. What a privilege. Yet to see either although I have looked numerous times
-
we are the top of the food chain -
And can make intelligent ethical choices
