Please don't celebrate someone that kills for sport. He killed so he can have a bear that was once living a life as it was intended to be lived. to now stand in the corner of a freaking man cave with a trucker hat on and a Bud in its hand. #SENSELESSDEATH

Do all of you live in cities, travel only on paved roads? In Michigan, bears have made a tremendous resurgence, and are becoming a hazard on the roads, as well, as in populated areas.

Or is it really people have moved into the bears habitat? More likely

Sure. Moved into the habitat in 1860 or so when our area was settled. I grew up here (and I am old). Bears were uncommon in our area in the 1960s through the 1990s. Bears re-occupying this area is recent.

I do not personally hunt. Hunting is a big part of the "culture," here, especially deer. The deer that eat my lawn are lucky critters.

When I read the headline I figured the bear had been menacing the man's home and it was self-defense. I just don't get why killing animals is "fun."

Oh my god. People have taken over their habitat. Where do you suggest they go? Are humans the only species allowed to live here? I would love to see a mountain lion or a bear. What a privilege. Yet to see either although I have looked numerous times
