"This is my senator. She will NOT sell you out to the telecom lobby." Reddit's front page is being flooded with posts criticizing senators who took money from telecommunications lobbyists and applauding those who support net neutrality.pic.twitter.com/6smrcyM73o

You're clearly incredibly dense and ignorant. Please do some research on how allowing big corporations to take control of the Internet will effect you before making assumptions about people.

It's not. And yes, net neutrality was put in place in 2015 BECAUSE companies, for years, have been trying to take control of the Internet for their own gain. They even sued the FCC because they wanted to get more money out of it. Not only that, but the Internet has changed (cont)

drastically in such a short amount of time. Technology moves at an incredible pace - in just the past two years, so much has changed. The big companies want to be able to harness that weakness in the system for themselves. Ajit Pai just wants to support Verizon and others.

He did formerly work with them, after all. There is some buddy-buddy work being done there - he's clearly one-sided on the issue, rather than looking out for the betterment of all consumers, companies, and small businesses.

Elect people who don't take $ from lobbyists. Elect people who spend reasonable amounts on campaigns relative to the pay. #TWPSB #mepolitics

Stop saying the news is a narrative just because it doesn't fit your narrative. The news is facts. The facts are that the front page of Reddit is filled with those posts. Which part of that hurts your snowflake mentality?

Any time I see the MSM outlets, Twitter, and Facebook all in support of something, I get the feeling that it must be bad for the average citizen. We were just fine for two decades prior to Net Neutrality and will be just fine for the next two decades after it disappears

As a principle it's great. But, since when has more government control equaled more freedom?

Since the other option is money-hungry ISPs controlling it, it's much better to have the government regulating it.
