On what charge?

-
MURDER IDIOT
-
He was acquitted of murder. You cannot charge him again. That would be double jeopardy.
-
Dual sovereignty, though
-
Understood, but doesn't it have to be for a different crime?
-
No....happens in drug cases where defendant is convicted in both courts on same facts as long as there are applicable statutes.

You watch either Cali, Oregon or Washington will hide him as their Sanctuary cities and their crazy! Their mindset regarding illegals is a huge problem for the safety of our citizens! We were all just floored when we heard not guilty!

-
Guilty of a gun accidentally going off...
#dummies let this man live deport him and let him live -
You really believe that???

You can't charge him again. That's double jeopardy in violation of the constitution. You can arrest him and deport him. That's all you can do.
-
I thought Double Jeopardy only means you cant be convicted of the same crime twice? You can be charged as many times as they want.
-
Spoken like a true Cowboys fan. No. It means you can’t be charged when you’ve been acquitted. If it’s a mistrial, sure they can charge you again. Mistrial doesn’t equal acquittal.
-
This was not a mistrial it was a straight up not guilty verdict.
-
This arrest warrant won't be for murder. He's being charged for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.pic.twitter.com/GhWVThSPlM
-
Yes. That's all he was found guilty of.
-
In a state trial, yes. Now new FEDERAL charges have been filed. So it's all good.

For what?
-
Lol someone doesn't understand the justice system, surprise surprise
-
I understand it, but you can't have a crooked judge running the case. Maybe they should arrest the judge too.
-
No talk of his deportations, his arrest. The judge made it so the jury didn't hear the whole story. This trial was all wrong. This man killed a young woman.
-
Jury not allowed to hear any of that. Nor his 7 felonies
