NBC's Kristen Welker on Trump's use of term "Pocahontas": "Why is it appropriate for the president use a racial slur in any context?" @PressSec: "I don't believe it is appropriate for him to make a racial slur or anybody else." http://cbsn.ws/2k6yftv pic.twitter.com/RsMlpIeemQ

😆 It can’t be racist since Senator Pocahontas isn’t an American Indian, but only a crazy white leftwinger who used crass cultural appropriation to gain an undue advantage. 😆 Poor leftwingers, I almost feel sorry for them.... almost... 😆

Provide evidence from a reputable source. CLUE: Breitbart is not a credible source! He is a racist. He is a disgrace. Patriots don't accommodate!

Correct. And while you're at it, name one other effective, dignified leader who would hijack a White House ceremony meant to honor Code Walkers to insult a political opponent.

Tell me, how can a President “hijack” a ceremony that he hosts? Are you aware of concepts called logic and reason, and people who pursue intelligence strive to honor these concepts?

If my job required me to host a ceremony to honor you for your devotion to the American West, then used the audience gathered to grossly attack an opponent in an unrelated dispute, that would be considered hijacking in the modern vernacular.

Per prior tweet -- give me an example of an effective, dignified leader who has behaved so grossly at an event meant to honor someone deserving. Empty insults are unconvincing.

She gave the correct answer on this one, but it brings up a bigger point. A President is supposed to be a leader, take the high road, and sound "Presidential." How do Trump supporters keep defending this 3 year old behavior. How can anyone respect that?

@PressSec There is NO EXCUSE for @realDonaldTrump's lack of common sense, dignity, & respect. Shame on #SarahHuckabeeSanders for defending this. You set the BAR really low for #Trump's behavior & conduct.

Calling Warren Pocahontas isn't using a racial slur. If Warren were a real NA it might be depending on context, but in this case it just isn't.

I can't believe people are even trying to argue that POTUS calling Warren "Pocahontas" isn't a racial slur. The bar has really been lowered for Trump.

people just choose to hear "racial" issues in everything. Again, is it a racial slur for rappers to use the N word? No, it isn't. Words are not racist, the application of them is. Can you explain how his use of it is racial? And just saying "cause it is" doesn't count

The application of "Pocahontas" by the POTUS towards Warren, in this context, was racial. Rappers can say "nigga," yes, but it would definitely be a racial slur if POTUS used it if speaking about black people. It's how it's used. You've GOT to know better than this.

"if speaking about black people" exactly, if he was talking about an actual NA then using Pocahontas would be racial, but since Warren is a white woman who lied about being NA to further herself she doesn't deserve your defense. YOU'VE got to know better than this.
