We live in such a world of ignorance and hate..with everyone concerned about what other people are doing. I've learned to myob.

children need to be taught this principle from day 1.

I agree..who cares who the next door neighbor loves, who's in the next bathroom stall, unseen illnesses, it's all nobodys business.

Society lacking empathy! What about ppl who have the tag cuz of a family member n use the parking regardless! Shame those!
-
I HAD, a friend that was a social worker and a psychologist. She use to use her friends handicap parking placard, especially during Christmas holidays. So much for people with empathy.

They hand these tags out so liberally now that anyone can get them and use them. Just because you A medical condition doesn’t mean you can’t walk another 20 or 30 feet. These tags need to be given out only for extreme dissablities
-
Not always. Even getting on SSA for a disability is a rather soul crushing experience.
-
SSA is a mess. Ppl getting it that shouldn’t and vice versatility but that’s an entirely different conversation. In most states all you need is a doctors designation to receive a handicapped placard.
-
I could get a doc to sign off on one for me. I probably need to given my current issues not related to weight. But for now I'm holding off as long as I can. Also the cancer drugs/radiation does a massive number on the system. I'm not surprised she needs a placard.
-
Yeah, I know it can Really mess a person up

Saw it first hand with my mom.

So I'm sure UofK has a policy about requiring a placard or license plate designating this person is handicapped to use the parking space. I am a retired disabled vet and have many aches and pains but I chose not to park in H/C because others are worse off.

That’s not duct tape
but that’s besides the point. People need to stay in their lane (pun intended) and mind their own business. Quit thinking you know more than you do and worry about your own shit.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Pure IGNORANCE!!! I've had one for years, due to severe asthma, but I only use it when my asthma is severe! Granted, many do take advantage of those tags

We lack empathy and compassion. I use a scooter in the stores right now. They assume it's because of my weight. (I'm a big fellow). But they don't know that I'm still hurt from two nasty falls. One of them was coming back on a 5 mile pedal bike ride.
-
The bike fall happened because the crankshaft broke. We see something and rush to judgement. We don't take into consideration all of the facts. Instead we just assume we know the full story. Rather than finding out what that story is.
