It hasn't kill the planet so far and it has erupted several times.

But it could be a tremendous explosion much greater than Mt. St. Helens. Drillin down for geothermal energy might be beneficial.

Won't have any impact. Volcanoes at sea have underwater hydro systems that pump huge amounts of heat out, makes no difference.
