This protests would be much more effective if you would choose a totally innocent victim, like this one: http://www.cnn.com/2014/09/25/justice/south-carolina-trooper-shooting/index.html …
-
Innocence is not determined by police. That is why we have a Judicial system. They are not meant to be judge, jury, and executioner.
-
Exactly. But some people insist on putting them (police) in that position by refusing to comply.
-
Lethal force should be the absolute last resort. Non-lethal means could and should have been used here.
-
Perp had a knife. Knives are lethal.
-
So officers shouldn't attempt to de-escalate situations? Just shoot first?
-
When confronted with a weapon, yes, shoot. A person who would pull a weapon on a cop, would not hesitate to do the same to a citizen.
-
A police force that shoots first is not protecting citizens, it is endangering their rights. This situation was handled poorly.

The US citizenry has much to learn about the dynamics of police shootings. Unfortunately, cognitive biases seem to trump all facts.
