There is no gun control that would prevent this. It’s a people problem.
-
Yeah, laws don’t do anything. People will just ignor it. Let’s just make murder and theft legal, what the hell.
-
Your first statement absolutely applies to the Vegas shooter. No laws would have prevented him from doing what he did. Hotel security maybe
-
Right- but we can create and enforce laws to limit the likelihood. It’s a fact that friction in any system limits occurrence of outcomes.
-
You can’t legislate morality. This is an issue with mental health. Too many holes in our system which allows people with issues to acquire.
-
I agree. We need to close those holes.
-
Sounds crazy, but security with ability to search and a medal detector may have gone a long way towards preventing this horrible event.

What is your point exactly?

They won't work if not applied. Chicago and Vegas are different. No assault weapons should be allowed for anyone except in combat.
-
Please define "assault weapons" RE applying gun laws, Obama was only 44 for 48,321 in prosecuting straw purchases. http://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jun/11/justice-department-rarely-prosecutes-straw-buyers-/ …pic.twitter.com/a5prdUzbZG

Assault weapons, automatic/semiautomatic which can hit multiple people basically at the pull of the trigger. No place for those in society.
