Pitt bull. Shock. Time to discontinue this flawed model.
-
Hell no. Let's punish the owners who don't raise them correctly. As a nurse we tell patients that if they have pets to slowly introduce the newborn, and NEVER to leave newborn unattended when dogs present. The dad fell asleep.
-
Anyone dumb enough to own a pittbull with children should be punished. I agree. Pitts still need to be wiped out tho. Overly agressive.
-
It's all in how ANY dogs are raised. Let's wipe out the irresponsible owners first!!!!!!!!!!

Even a well trained Pitt is MUCH more likely to attack someone. They are a dangerous breed compared to others. Yes, there’s exceptions...

I've had "well-trained" Pitts, trained by me, someone with no professional dog training. Never have they even growled at a guest in my home. They a

If you own one, you’re biased. Just cuz they haven’t snapped yet, doesn’t mean they won’t. Only takes one incident to trigger them.
-
I don't own a pitt now, haven't for 15+ years, but it's all in how they're raised. You are the master, not them. Train them to be vicious machines or not immediately scolding bad behaviors it's the owner's fault.

The family dog that killed the baby was a pit bull/pit bull mix.
-
It could've been any breed though. The dogs likely saw the new addition as a trespasser in their territory. Parents should've slowly introduced infant to them, and never, ever unsupervised

I'm a dog lover, but I don't understand how the dad couldn't have heard a 1-month old infant being attacked by the family dog. And with pets, u have to slowly introduce the new family member and keep dogs away from infants, unless you're there awake & alert to supervise them both

It's unfair that Pomeranians and Chihuahuas get such a bad reputation. Everyone knows it's the owners fault, not the breed.
