I don't even lock my phone. If the phone was made so you'd have to, I wouldn't want it. I'm too lazy and easily annoyed to unlock phones.

Yes, legally, you can be compelled to unlock via fingerprint, iris, or face rec. Ony passwords 'products of the mind' can not be compelled.
