OK but Unless you have undercover inspectors inside for a while you don't see the gaps and cover ups or experience the management "culture"

This should have never happened. The elderly are the helpless victims of someone's rotten decisions! Costs money to move them, right?

How come these nursing homes in FL don't have emergency power generators? Gov. Scott and staff take note..
-
One generator failed, couldn't find another. In Fla., they are hard to find. Should have moved elderly out immediately heat started rising!

That should have been part of the FEMA and top priority policy from day one before the son Hurricane stupid! You just didn't effen care!
-
Nursing home's fault. Staff didn't protect patients. This isn't on FEMA or anyone else.
-
You're right. However, FEMA and state should have evacuated all nursing homes and/or made them priority 1 for power restorations.
-
I hope FEMA will add this to its protocol in the future. For now, no blame game in place, I hope. This is totally on the nursing home chain.
-
Irma so catastrophic in its nature, the best all could do was take shelter. Afterwards, massive destruction and flooding. Water still rising
