This is why America has no faith in law enforcement. The others who just passively watched should be given the pink slip as well...

Exactly. He should've been fired or put on non paid leave immediately but the blue line of Utah police protected him. Cops think their gods
-
I agree, except...Not ALL cops think they are God's. It's like saying all women are bitches. AND it's they're not their...So there.
-
Almost every policemen believes in the "blue line" concept. All the other cops stood there & did nothing to help uphold the law

No telling what he was up to, he wanted that blood like his "career" depended on it.
-
May have wanted to prove truck driver was on something to prevent suit since accident was during pursuit of suspect 1/
-
And accident caused severe burns to truck driver suspect hit (suspect died in accident) maybe pol were worried about truck driver suing 2/
-
So they were desperately trying to get blood from truck driver to show he was impaired so the pursuing officers were not at fault 3/3
-
And he wanted to do that illegally so?? Prevent a lawsuit with evidence that wont stand up in court?
-
Police have done stranger things, only reason I can think of for wanting blood from innocent bystander to accident caused by pol pursuit

As a retired cop, this should turn into more than a suspension.
-
I agree. My dad is retired career law enforcement. It should be more AND it shouldn't have taken a month (and video going viral) to happen

Administrative leave WITH pay!! If I assaulted someone on my job, there would be no question, I would lose my job and pension.

Every "Officer" in that video should be placed on administrative leave and FIRED. "Period end of sentence."

Thank God for cell phone cameras. But it should have happened earlier.
-
Actually the video was from police body cam, like the ones in Baltimore showing police planting drugs at crime scene
-
Thanks for the clarification - I must have missed that! Maybe that's why it took so long for the video to be released?

Still not good enough, he should be fired, then charged for assault

I don't understand this "leave" madness. Dude was clearly in the wrong. And it was a month ago.
