I get her point, but in the end the fact that they asked her the question and did not just wave her on shows they are not just profiling.

Answer the question. Customs/border patrol always asks if you are a US citizen. I'm asked while the agent is holding my passport. No big
-
She wasn't crossing a border though.
-
These are patrol check points. Everybody is asked. Answer the question, move on.
-
You have those in Nevada? Does it get annoying when you get stopped when you're rushing around running errands?
-
Northern Nevada no. We have DUI check points. Answer the questions, go about your day. Hold up the process; you will be delayed.
-
Eventually these checkpoints will be nationwide.
-
More than likely. TSA for the highways.
-
We have checkpoints at certain points in TX too. We have to stop when I travel from my hometown in South Texas to San Antonio. It's not bad.

Border patrol is a shitty job to begin with and the last thing they need to deal with is some jackass looking for attention
-
And notifying the media that she's a victim of abusive law enforcement personnel
-
Those guys basically laughed her off to humor her

If the border patrol would have opened the trailer door on that semi, all them people would not have died. They have a job to do.
-
Those people were already in the U.S. when they entered the trailer.
-
There are check stations 50 miles north of the border. Been there trucking
-
And did they routinely ask you to open your truck? Don't blame BP for this. Blame driver
-
Maybe twice out of a dozen times. Have seen them search vehicles and trailers. Not blaming BP. Driver is responsible!
