Embarrassment it's a crime

This is much more than a "crime". This is a violent act against an innocent woman.

Why report this? Rich people don't get convicted for rape on the USA... They hire the best lawyers and eventually go for counselling.
-
Can confirm. I used to nanny for a lawyer of child sex predators and she lived in a mansion worth 20k a month. I just can't even ... sigh...
-
That opens up a whole new Global Question: Should lawyers be aloud to reproduce? Lol !-;

What? That sounds like a slap on the wrist. If my son raped someone I wouldn't tell them to not "embarrass" me again. I'd want them in jail

I assume prosecution will determine guilt. What I don't understand is why this story includes the alleged perpetrator's extended family. SAD
-
I would assume because it's almost certainly relevant - no matter how despicable the crime, the white, affluent, and well-connected get off.
