Perhaps #BillMaher thinks he's privileged to use the n word bc he dates black women, huh Bill?

newsflash: Anyone can say words. Even words you dislike.
-
Everyone can say them, but if someone prefers one over another, you use/don't use it out of mutual respect. You know, for your fellow man?
-
Mutual respect is cool. Acting like a word has claws or is the same as a physical attack, is not cool.
-
Words can be just as disrespectful, if not more, than a physical attack. Acting like words can't be harmful is naive
-
You can get arrested for physical attacks. You don't get arrested for offending someone.
-
So your morality is based solely on legality? Good to know
-
The way I see it is, freedom of speech doesn't stop consequence.

I like you
@billmaher, but if you're not black, don't use the n word. Just don't. -
Listen, black people don't like hearing other blacks used the n-word either. Its so degrading no matter whose mouth it comes out of.
-
So? Words aren't criminal. There's plenty I dislike too. Still doesn't make it illegal.

I'm honest.
-
Spoken with the disingenuous white privilege of someone who never had to bear the heavy legacy of the N-word.

That's not very convincing. I am turning off
@HBO until they take consequential actions against@billmaher -
C'mon grow some thicker skin. Bill Mahr is a proven ally of Melanated people; and in the age of Trump, we can cut him some slack.
-
C'mon Laurence...I could care less about Bill Maher or Kathy Griffin. I am fighting back regarding the left treatment of conservative speech

He apologized. Others don't. Let's be adults about this and move forward.... right?
-
no? the apology is so transparent, he's obviously only saying it to save his ass, also the fact that he even referred to himself as a house-
