Why is this such a big deal? We all had measles as kids and it didn't kill us.

-
It has a high mortality rate. Children don't need to die if we can prevent it, especially if it's as easily achieved as giving out shots.
-
is this different than the 'german' measles, which is what my siblings and I had back in the late 60's?
-
German measles is called Rubella, and is protected against by the same vaccine as measles, and also mumps. The vax saves thousands of kids.
-
The out break is caused by parent who still think vaccine cause autism or unvaccinated travelers

Just guessing here but my first thought would be all the non-vaccinated refugees Minnesota has taken in over the last few years

I had measles as a kid, actually most kids in Germany did and it wasn't any more dangerous than having a flu and didn't take longer either.
-
Agreed. I worry a lot more about the virulent strain of TB the Somali refugees brought in. That is cause for concern.
-
Europe has first cases of leprosy! Can you imagine? People belonging in quarantine roam freely across countries and borders - madness!
-
That must be the "cultural enrichment" I hear so much about.

Anti-vaxxers that's why

Invasive liberals

Weird I thought it was the conservative crowd. Trump is an anti vaxxers
-
Seattle is competing...
-
However, I think both conservatives and Libs fall for this bs
-
I can't argue with that. I'm not sure what goes through peoples minds that refuse vax. They may still be on the "causes autism" thing
