@psddluva4evah@CBSDFW don't whitewash this, he was label as a suspect, and DPD asked folks to identify him! -
oh wow are you serious. what if this mans face was white
-
I would say the same thing, person of interest and suspect are two different things.

No "mistakenly" about it. Carrying rifle openly at site of terrorist attack can rightfully make a civilian a suspect.
-
He should get his property back, and perhaps a retraction/apology, but nothing more.
-
He was mistakenly identified as a SUSPECT by Dallas PD, not a PoI. That's not okay.
-
You confuse "suspect" with something else. It doesn't imply guilt or charges.

You're most certainly wrong; they should have called him a person of interest: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Person_of_interest …
-
According to CBSNews, they did. And your Wiki link says "person of interest" is a euphemism for "suspect" anyway.
-
(a) Take a reading comprehension course; (b) Dallas PD dubbed him a suspect immediately: https://twitter.com/DallasPD/status/751262719584575488 …
