Exhibit A on why economic inequality is as extreme as it is. Disgusting.

Wrong. inequality exists because people are not equal. I've got a guy works for me, as good a man as youll find dumb as a box of hammers, but a hard worker & loyal. He'll never run a job, but he'll always have a job. Freedom/liberty breed inequality. Equality, breeds tyranny.
-
Inequality exists bc it's accepted & allowed to continue, as evidenced in cases like this. Hard work is valuable, should be rewarded. The suits who ran Sears into the ground are taking the lions share of company assets & leaving hardworking ppl like you and me out in the cold.

For every $1M these execs are taking, 20 workers could get $20k severance. So, if an exec got a fat $5M payout instead of $25M, 400(!) average Joes could get $20k severance. That translates to houses kept, cars sold, clothes on kids' backs, food on tables, & maybe some savings.

It's not about laziness vs hard work, intelligence vs lack thereof, or politics. It's about being decent human beings and treating each other with value and dignity. Greed, devaluation of humanity, and exploitation are hurting us all.

This isn’t anything new. The average US worker has been screwed by the system, while company executives are rewarded—ever since the Reagan Administration. It’s called Pissed-on-economics.

Wow, must be nice to be a top executive and already have enough money not to worry about losing their jobs, while the people working at the customer service level don't get a severance package because the top people mismanaged the company. I don't get it? Why do we allow this?

Screwing working people over. It's what Trump did to his employees in every one of his bankrupt businesses after he extracted all the work and money he could from each and every one of them.

This just makes no sense. How can managers get a bonus when they took the company to bankruptcy ?
