        He had a condition similar to schizophrenia during the killing. So what is the name of the condition and it was only during the killing that this no name condition occurred. This is total bullshit he should be on death row.

        North Carolina follows the M’Naghten rule, meaning that a defendant who cannot appreciate that the crime was wrong at the time of commission is insane. So pretty much.

        If someone is a monster, I don't care if they're mentally ill or insane. You have to protect people against him repeating his violent actions. He should get life in prison w/o parole or the death penalty.

        Yes, often people who commit crimes while insane are evaluated and put on medications once in prison, meaning you can be insane at the time of the offense and then later lucid.
