Praying for his President... and everyone loses their mind on Twitter.

Bart, many believers in Christ see Trump as bearing no fruit of the spirit in his cruel behavior of his policies locking up children, hateful anti immigrant rhetoric, and constant abuse of the truth. What ever happened to going in the prayer closet in lieu of a public spectacle?
-
All the more reason he needs prayer. And you can pray in all sorts of locations and conditions. This is not a reason to complain and criticize.
-
You complained. Guess had you been there you wouldn’t support Jesus when he criticized the Pharisees for their public displays of self-serving “piety” & hair splitting of legalism of the law, then? Jesus was about criticizing the religious establishment & their injustice. Get it?
-
The pastor isn’t a Pharisee. His job is to counsel and pray for everyone. If politicians wants to turn it into a political event, that’s on them.

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.” Ezekiel 36:26-27

AMEN. I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, - 1 Tim 2;1-4

So much for the separation of Church and State.

A "religious" man reads from a piece of paper as if it's a heart-felt prayer as he asks God to "bless this" sexist, misogynist, supremacist, Nazi-admiring, murderer-enabling, racketeer & to "protect him" from slander. That is a criminal prayer.
