#saveaclick “warning hunters to keep an eye out for bovine tuberculosis that can be found in the animals.” -
Sweet. We need to come up wth a vaccine that’s harmless to them but lethal to humans and isn’t identifiable externally.

I am not a hunter by any stretch of the imagination, but how can I see that these deer have bovine tuberculosis from the title picture? I don‘t really see swollen lymph nodes. Maybe call them in for an x-ray before killing them.
-
They’re going to kill them, will be doing the deer a service, but once you start dressing it and notice the yellow lumps, don’t consume. Probably call your wildlife management and let them know where you harvested it so they can track the disease.

-
Thanks for your reply. Could you tell a deer had tuberculosis just by looking at it, like the headline suggests? Maybe I am missing something here.
-
Some I guess. They may not die directly from TB but it makes them more susceptible to dying from other diseases as it weakens them. Thing is they can pass it back and forth to cattle and it could allow chronic wasting disease to creep in.
-
That makes sense. Thanks for your time.
